Localo vs Whitespark: one subscription against products sold one at a time

Last reviewed October 30, 2026

Quick answerWhitespark is cheaper for one job: Local Platform alerts you to profile updates and offers a one-click reject for $1 a month per location, billed annually. Localo fits an owner who also wants weekly tasks and drafts.

Localo vs Whitespark: one subscription against single products

Whitespark is the cheaper way to do one job, and Localo is one subscription for several. Whitespark says it is not a single platform, by design, so each product is sold alone, in US dollars. Its Local Platform, which watches a profile for changes, is $1 a month per location, billed annually. Localo Single Business is $39 a month billed monthly or $389 a year billed annually (shown as $32.42 a month), as read on October 30, 2026.

Localo puts an audit, weekly tasks, posts, reply drafts and edit protection in each plan. On yearly billing that is $32.42 a month for Single Business against $1 a month per location for Local Platform, which covers the edit-alert job.

Unwanted edits: reversed on their own or rejected in one click

Localo says its Protection reverses edits suggested through Google's Suggest an edit option to the name, phone, address and closed status within 15 minutes, before Google publishes them. It treats edits made from a connected Google account as legitimate. Protection is on every Localo plan, and its pages document no other fields.

Whitespark Local Platform sends email alerts as updates happen and shows whether Google or an owner or manager made each one. A reject is one click, and Whitespark says it pushes the existing value back to Google. It lists name, address, phone numbers, categories, website, hours and more.

Google gives owners 4 days to accept or reject some suggested edits, so neither tool is a guarantee. Google's policy for people who manage client profiles also says that automatically discarding suggested updates without consulting the business breaks its terms, so ask the owner first. How to stop edits on a Google Business Profile covers Google's own steps.

Review requests and replies

Whitespark Reputation Builder PRO is $79 per location per month and includes 3,000 email requests (100 a day), 300 SMS credits and review monitoring on 10 sites. Localo documents a printable review poster with a QR code on every plan and no email or SMS campaign. Localo drafts a reply in a brand voice and you press reply.

Whitespark's page also describes a feedback step that sends customers who rate high to review sites. Google bars selectively soliciting positive reviews, so use the email and SMS volumes only to ask every customer the same way. The FTC rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) adds its own limits. This is a summary of published rules, not legal advice, and Google review management software compares more tools.

Suspensions: Whitespark's paid reinstatement project

Whitespark sells a reinstatement service at $599 per project. It says it cannot guarantee reinstatement because Google makes the final decision. Localo's product pages document no suspension recovery.

Google's own appeal asks you to pick the profile and add evidence, such as official business registration. Appeals can be submitted only once, and Google says never to create a new profile for the same business.

Which to pick

Pick Whitespark Local Platform for edit alerts alone, and add Reputation Builder for email and SMS requests. Whitespark sells each product separately, so alerts and review requests are two subscriptions, each priced per location. Pick Localo for one profile that needs weekly upkeep in one plan at $39 a month billed monthly. BrightLocal vs Whitespark sets Whitespark against the per-location rival.
