What is Localo? A plain explanation of the Google Business Profile tool, its parts and who it is built for

What Localo is: software that connects to a Google Business Profile, audits it, tracks Maps positions, drafts review replies and sets weekly tasks.

Quick answerLocalo is subscription software for local search. You connect a Google Business Profile, and it audits the profile, sets weekly tasks, tracks Maps positions for chosen keywords, drafts review replies and reverses unwanted edits. It serves owners, freelancers and agencies, and it works on top of the Google profile rather than replacing it.

What is Localo? Software that works on top of your Google Business Profile

Localo is a web app from Localo Sp. z o.o., a company registered in Wrocław, Poland, according to its terms. It does not replace your Google Business Profile. The profile stays on Google, where customers see it in Maps and Search. Localo connects to it and adds an audit, a weekly task list, rank tracking for chosen keywords, a review inbox, edit protection and reports.

The vendor describes its purpose as making local businesses visible in Google Maps, searches and AI answers. Its own pages are the source here, read on October 29, 2026.

How Localo works in four steps

  • Step 1, connect: create an account, which can use a Google login, and connect the Google Business Profile. The trial needs no card.
  • Step 2, audit: Localo runs 17 checks on the profile, compares it with the top five nearby competitors and lists fixes by impact.
  • Step 3, follow the weekly tasks: each task gives step-by-step instructions, and you can add photos, write posts and edit the description inside the task.
  • Step 4, track and report: choose keywords, watch positions on a map, read statistics and, on the Pro plan, send white-label client reports.

The parts of Localo: manage, improve and grow

  • Manage: keyword position tracking, a content publisher for posts, the audit, a review manager, edit protection and reports.
  • Improve: a citations manager that shows directories where competitors are listed, a website builder that turns profile data into a site, and weekly tasks.
  • Grow: statistics built from up to two years of profile data, an AI assistant for business and market questions, and a client acquisition tool for agencies and freelancers.
  • Free tools: its pages describe a local rank checker, a review response generator and a schema generator as working in a browser without signing up, and list a review poster generator beside them.
  • Connections: the pricing table describes an MCP feature that automates work with profile data in ChatGPT or Claude.

Who it is for and where it runs

Localo names three groups: business owners, freelancers and agencies. The business owner plan covers one profile, and the freelancer and agency plan covers many. The app interface is available in English, Polish, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese (Brazil), and the vendor says it works in every language and country. Support runs through in-app chat and email, and the vendor's knowledge base and video tutorials cover the features.

Where the boundary sits: what Localo leaves to you and to Google

  • Google decides ranking. Its help says local results rest mainly on relevance, distance and prominence, and that no one can pay for a better position.
  • You make the real-world choices. Google's guidelines say the business name must match how it appears on signage, the address or service area must be accurate and the categories should be the fewest that describe the core business.
  • Customers write the reviews. Localo can show them and draft replies, and Google's rules still bar incentives and fake reviews.
  • Localo's terms say its analyses are for information only and that acting on them is voluntary.
  • Results differ by business and market, and the quotes and ranking-jump stories on the vendor's pages are its own.
