Birdeye alternatives: what Birdeye's pricing page shows

Birdeye does not publish a price; the Birdeye alternatives here do: BrightLocal Grow, GatherUp, Whitespark Reputation Builder, Localo and Google's own free review tools. Birdeye's pricing page is a GET PRICING form asking for a business email, company, number of locations, name and mobile number. Its price is on request, and the page shows no trial.

Birdeye describes its pricing as one platform and one contract, paying for what you deploy at your locations. Podium also sells through a sales team, with its pricing on Podium's page. For one location, the paid options below run from Localo Single Business at $39 a month billed monthly to GatherUp at $124 a month month to month, as read on October 30, 2026.

Asking for reviews within Google's rules and the FTC rule

Google's policy bars offering payment, discounts or free goods or services in exchange for a review. It bars selectively soliciting positive reviews, discouraging negative ones and asking staff for a set number of reviews. Google allows asking customers for genuine reviews without incentives, and its own review link and QR code cost nothing.

The FTC rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465), in force since October 21, 2024, bars fake reviews and bars paying for reviews conditioned on a particular sentiment. FTC staff say the rule does not reach every incentive; Google's policy bars all of them, so Google's is the rule to follow. This is not legal advice.

A tool only asks the same people faster. Whitespark's Reputation Builder page describes a first-party step that routes high raters to review sites and low raters to the business; that is the selective asking Google prohibits, so send its email and SMS requests to every customer without that step. The steps are in How to get more Google reviews.

Replying: drafts, templates and who presses send

Localo drafts replies and the owner presses send. It suggests a reply from the star rating and review text, with four variants per rating and 20 templates in all, and it does not publish AI-generated replies on its own. Localo says Google discourages fully automated review responses. BrightLocal Grow monitors and responds to reviews across sites.

On Google itself, you verify the business before replying, and a reply usually takes up to 10 minutes to review. Google's tips ask for conversational replies that skip deals and promotions. Google review management software compares the tools in more depth.

Which to pick by number of locations

For one location, Localo Single Business or BrightLocal Grow covers the work: Localo for reply drafts and a QR poster, Grow for requests by email, SMS and in store. Localo documents a QR poster and a review link for asking, not email or SMS campaigns. Localo can be tested on one profile for 14 days without a card, for accounts new to it, once per Google account and per Business Profile. Localo review lists its limits.

For several locations, GatherUp is $60 a month per location billed annually for 2 to 10 locations, or $75 month to month. Whitespark Reputation Builder PRO is $79 a month per location. Localo Pro 10 is $69 a month billed monthly or $699 a year billed annually for up to 10 profiles, with a Reviews manager that gathers every profile's reviews in one inbox.
